The Body Shop products that you need in your life

Leana Goulden

Now, before we start, I am not an ambassador for The Body Shop… I’m just a lover of their products. I have delved through my cupboards, assessed my products and created a list of preference. This list consists of 10 products that you should buy and appreciate. I offer a variety… face, body, hands. By all means, you can share a different opinion but these products were simply wonderful for me and I hope that they can be for you. Now shuffle along and go read through the list!

Face Peels

Say goodbye to your dead skin. I first tested one of these in-store on my hand and the results blew me away! The amount of dead skin that comes off is insane. I try to use this once every week now so that I don’t over-do it (I don’t want to go down to the bone!) and that is the perfect amount to keep my skin feeling fresh.

Brow Gel

Want brow lamination without the cost? Or maybe you are simply just tired of your stray brow hairs doing what they please? BUY THIS. The brow gel is now my every day essential… if I was taking a luxury item into I’m a Celeb, it would be this. It is also multi-purposeful as I like to use it to pull back baby hairs, allowing for slick ponytails.

Banana Haircare

This dreamy little duo will leave your hair soft, shiny and refreshed… plus it leaves you smelling fresh and slightly bananas. I would never change up my hair care routine now as my hair is in the best condition that it has ever been in! Plus, they also have a hair mask in ‘Banana’ too which is equally as heavenly.

Shower Gels

These are so strong smelling that you will consistently hear ‘ooh you smell nice, what have you got on?’ and let’s face it, who doesn’t want to hear that? My top three recommendations would be Warm Vanilla, Vanilla Pumpkin (Halloween Limited Edition) and Tahitian Tiare.

Face Masks

These are THE best in the game. There is so much variety and I have absolutely loved working my way through every single one. They even have an option on their site to work out which mask would be most beneficial for your skin type. If I had to choose one face mask… it would be the British Rose as it is so hydrating! My face always feels plump and nourished after using one of these, I don’t have any need for a facial!

Overnight Moisturiser

This product is amazing!! I’ve struggled for quite some time with dry skin and this product really was a life-saver. Even after the first use, I saw visible results! I remember waking up the next morning and thinking… wow, no flakiness amongst my brows or near my nose. It is just fantastic.

Make-up Brushes

These brushes are simply gorgeous. They are so soft and brilliant for applying eyeshadow! Plus, these products are cruelty-free so you can feel a lot better doing your make-up whilst knowing that.

Headbands

Cute, Fun and most importantly useful… especially when you are popping a face mask on! I have the plain white one but they come in a variety of looks. I would definitely recommend buying this to work alongside your beauty routine. It keeps those pesky baby hairs out of your face which is essential, whether you’re just doing your nightly routine or doing a face-mask for some TLC.

Body Yoghurts

So indulgent and creamy, they fall into your skin so effortlessly quick leaving you with glowing, moisturised skin. The Body Shop have two rather similar product for this need, the body yoghurts and the body butters. I invest in both but I would say for day-to-day use, I opt for this one. It seems a lot faster acting in regards to the way it acts upon the skin which is preferred when you’re wanting to pop some clothes back on.

Hand Creams

Obviously, we are in the middle of a global pandemic. The hands of the nation are taking a battering due to the continuous scrubbing and sanitising. These babies are a life-saver for dry and cracked hands, plus they smell sensational too! If you have particularly dry hands, perhaps you work for the NHS, I would recommend investing in some ‘hemp hand protector’ as it performs miracles on struggling hands. It provides 24 hours of moisture for all of you hard grafters.
