There is something simply wonderful about being greeted with a nice smell, whether that be from a passer-by, walking into a store or cleaning! I’ve rounded up a list of fragrances that I believe will be worth your investment. If you don’t feel that you need anything at the moment, birthdays are always unexpectedly cropping up and these are some fabulous options for gifting!
I LOVE THIS. This is the head-turner of perfume. The reason why I adore it so much is due to it’s straying from the norm. It isn’t your typical ‘floral and feminine’ scent. This perfume has been described as ‘A boundary-pushing perfume. A revolution in a bottle. A new idea of femininity: sultry, provocative, addictive.’
I carry a roller-pearl version of this perfume in my handbag at all times. I adore it. The perfume creator describes the perfume: “At the heart of Miss Dior Eau de Toilette, the light and brilliant Centifolia rose unfurls its full, luminous beauty. I wanted to give it a unique refreshing quality with a Lilly of the valley accord.”
I well and truly adore this perfume. It’s almost nostalgic, there is something so beautiful and familiar about the scent. It is described as being ‘Envisioned as a thriving garden of flowers, Bloom is created to unfold like its name.’ The creator wanted to capture the spirit of ‘contemporary, diverse and authentic’ women… honestly, I would say that was achieved. It is truly beautiful.
Now, I’m not qualified to say what a man should/ shouldn’t chose for an aftershave but I can certainly offer an opinion on what turns my head if I smell it. The first time I bought this for someone, it was a 21st Birthday present and it’s safe to say that I’ve bought it a few times since, this is now the one I always reach for if I’m getting a gift. It is literally heaven in a bottle. It is described as ‘An energising and sensual perfume that combines the freshness of citrus notes and the intensity of aromatic, woody notes.’
IGO L’eau D’Issey Pour Homme
Buy it. This Issey Miyake fragrance is simply stunning and will most definitely turn some heads. This is your sign to go and pick it up, whether it’s for you, a relative, a partner… go and do it. Issey Miyake describe this fragrance as ‘A very masculine spicy woody scent.’
This is one of those aftershaves that is a ‘safe option’ if you need to get a last minute gift and honestly, I love it. Paco Rabanne describes it as ‘Floral leather with sun-drenched charm. A perfume for men that dares to harness contradiction. Added opulence. For always more opulence.’ Honestly, I don’t think you can ever go wrong with it to be honest, it smells lovely, it’s reasonably priced and 9/10 it will be a winner.
I would go as far as making the bold statement that these are the best in the business. Never have I ever experienced candles and diffusers that are as strong and noticeable as these are. They also have a product named ‘the wellbeing pod’ that uses essential oil blends to sift throughout your home, dependant on which chosen mood you require. For example, there are oils to help with sleep but at the other end of the spectrum there’s also mood boosting oils… 10000/10 recommend.
The White Company
The White Company sell the most gorgeous, luxurious products for your home. The most popular smell that I would recommend to you is Seychelles, they describe it as ‘evoking the balmy breeze of an Indian Ocean island’. It is dreamy. At £27 for a reed diffuser, I would say that the products are reasonable for the quality of product you are receiving.
I’ve spoken about my love for Zoflora products a billion times before as it is one of the best cleaning products that I have ever been introduced to. There is a huge variety of fragrances to suit everyone, from fruity to floral. This disinfectant will have every house guest swooning and begging to know how you made your home smell so beautiful!
