Student fashion – Lectures Edition

Leana Goulden

We’ve all been there… wanting to look nice but having literally zero effort to do so. I’ve drafted up a number of outfits that are easy, simple and most importantly – stylish! You are bound to turn some heads with these effortlessly glamorous looks. They require the same amount of thought as throwing on the pair of joggers that you’ve been wearing all week.

Outfit One

  • White Bodysuit
  • 1/4 Zip Sweatshirt
  • Tennis Skirt

  • Chunky Boots

^ I love this look. The block colours… the boots… the simplicity – it works so well. I love the versatility with this outfit too as you can change it up dependant on the season. You could throw on some sandals and sunnies for a summery stroll into uni or some thick tights and a puffer for those chilly days! Either way, you are going to make a statement.

Outfit Two

  • Statement Earrings
  • Floral Dress
  • Cardigan
  • Loafers

^ This outfit is for anyone that prefers to dress a bit more girly and boho-chic. The key is to not go too bold with the pattern of your chosen dress. For example, the dress that I have chosen is filled with the design but it is small and dainty.. perfect for our favoured look! The cropped cardigan and loafers add to the boho style whilst also continuing the look of sophistication. This outfit is smart and stylish – a.k.a the best duo. Then to throw in a bit of fun, invest in some statement earrings… it’s nice to have at least one quirky piece in an outfit.

Outfit Three

  • White Shirt
  • Sweater Vest
  • Mom Jeans
  • Vans

^ The fashion ensemble that has been greatly inspired by TikToker’s around the world. Sweater vests are soaring in popularity and this is the perfect way to style it, maybe to show everyone at your 9am that well… you made some effort! This is the best clash of office fashion meets skateboarder style and I am LIVING for it. The crisp shirt and sweater combo mixed with the ripped knee jeans is a match made in heaven honestly!

Outfit Four

  • Green Top
  • Jumpsuit
  • Green Vans
  • Green Headband

^ A little bit more quirky and astray from the norm but equally as lovely! Sometimes comfy is the way forward, particularly if it’s a day of back-to-backs. This colour co-ordinated ensemble is perfect for a busy day or perhaps a day that consists of more practical-based learning. The flexibility of the jumpsuit is something you will thank yourself for! Ultimately, this can be re-created with any colour of your preference, combining sensibility in the footwear and trouser-choice whilst also pulling off a fabulous look.

Outfit Five

  • Bodysuit
  • Shorts
  • Shacket
  • Ankle Boots

^ Summer days are coming and what better way to recognise summer than with a pair of Levi’s denim shorts! This is the perfect outfit for a lecture that you know will result in someone saying: “fancy going to the beer garden after?” This is an outfit that can be absolutely fine for a lecture (the shacket saves you) but also winning for any motives you may find later on in the day. It’s a win-win, don’t hesitate to go and swipe the items or recreate a similar look of your own.
