SecretEvents was founded in September 2020 as part of a final year project at Sheffield Hallam University. The team is made up of 4 students Jade, Megan, Georgia and Alice, we were tasked with creating an amazing event for local charity Cavendish Cancer Care.
Each member of the group has their own role as follows:
Megan: Event design & Planning lead
Jade: Finance & Administration lead
Georgia: Marketing, Sales & Sponsorship lead
Alice: Operations & Health and Safety lead
Our theme and concept is working around the idea of botanicals while keeping as many aspects of the event a secret. The event is a one time running event which is why we have made it a different experience for people to enjoy, with the aim to continue to raise money for the charity.
Since November when we started our fundraising we have raised over £2000 for Cavendish Cancer Care a number we aimed to make by the end of our event! We are so very grateful and can’t thank every single person enough who has donated to us as it wasn’t easy but every penny really does matter for this charity especially at a time like this.
Why our event?
Our event is an immersive gin tasting which can be enjoyed from the comfort our your own home, as it will be on the platform zoom. Each ticket includes 5 x 50ml bottles of premium mystery gins, music bingo and our gin experts StarmoreBoss expertises to help you gain more knowledge of each gin.
Our event is open to anyone over the age of 18, each ticket is able to be shared between up to two people, which is 5 x 25 ml of each gin each or enjoy 50ml to yourself!
Behind the scenes of the event we all follow a similar motivation which is that we have all been affected personally within our family/friends group by cancer. Losing a life of a loved one is never easy, which is why we felt we needed to give even more passion and drive towards this event. Cavendish Cancer Care is an amazing charity which aim to help so many affected by cancer and their families/friends to help form a safe place for them to go to.
At a time like now it’s never been so important to support local businesses especially small business which is something we have tried to do throughout our sourcing of donations and supplies. We hope for all who attend our event, we can show the impact this money is able to have on those affected by cancer.
