Married at First Sight Australia Season 6 captivated the UK during the lockdown, despite the series originally coming out in Australia in 2019. Although this hindsight meant we had to be careful of spoilers on social media, it has allowed us to see if any of the relationships actually had longevity.
Warning: spoilers below!! Here are where the Season 6 MAFS Australia cast are now:
Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson

Cam and Jules were easily the power couple of the series as the world watched them fall in love over the course of the experiment. In the final vows ceremony, Cam decided to pop the question, asking Jules to marry him (for real)! She said yes and they went on to marry each other after the experiment, in November 2019. The couple had spoken on the series about growing concerns with wanting children, as they both approached their late 30s. All MAFS fans were elated for the couple as they welcomed Oliver Chase Merchant on October 3rd, 2020. The couple often share snaps of their family on Instagram and seemed to have gone from strength to strength. Since the show, Jules founded her own shapewear brand called Figur, and former professional cricketer, Cam, now has his own podcast.
Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli

Martha and Michael were one of the younger couples on the show, but hit it off since day one, and finished the show successfully. After the show, the couple conquered their fears of a long-distance relationship and later moved in together. They now live in an apartment together in Bondi Beach, Sydney. The couple admitted they struggled in the early days after the experiment when the press and Australia seemed to follow their every move, but since they have been happy and learned to care less. The couple has now been together for two years, and although a baby rumour was not true, Martha has dropped some hints about marriage…
Mike Gunner and Heidi Latcham

Mike and Heidi seemed like an odd match but they worked. The couple made it all the way to the end of the experiment with Mike declaring his love for Heidi in the final vows. The couple left the experiment on cloud nine, and Heidi moved down to the gold coast to live with Mike. But it was just days later when they went their separate ways. During the reunion, Mike said he wished he had dealt with their relationship differently. Even two years after the show, Mike said “I don’t know if I’ve made peace with it” as he shared that he has tried to get in touch with Heidi but she doesn’t reply. Since then, Mike went on to meet his girlfriend, Sonja, on Bumble, and they’re still together. Since the show, Heidi has kept a low profile, and returned to her job as a radio presenter. She is now an ambassador of Inclusive Kids, a children’s charity supporting disadvantaged kids. Heidi is still in touch with some of her co-stars as she was a bridesmaid at Jules and Cam’s wedding, but it seems she has remained single.
Ning Surasiang and Mark Scrivens

Ning and Mark’s wedding day was awkward, to say the least, with the couple looking absolutely hopeless for the future. Throughout the series, Ning battled with her abandonment issues, constantly trying to push Mark away so he can’t hurt her. By the time of the final vows, Ning had just started to open her heart up to Mark, but it appears it was too late, as Mark had felt too much rejection from her throughout the experiment. During the final vows ceremony, Mark shook us all by dumping Ning, believing their relationship wasn’t strong enough for the outside world. Ning wanted to stay, which took Mark back, but by that point, he had already said he was done. Since the show, Mark opened up his own café called Freelancer Café in St Kilda, Victoria. He has also been dating his girlfriend, Bianca Chatfield, for over a year now. Bianca appeared on the Australian reality competition, The Block previously. As for Ning, she has been dating her boyfriend, Kane Micallef, since August 2020 and has since released her own cookbook named after her funny one-line: “I’m just here for the food.”
Cyrell Jimenez and Nic Jovanovic

Cyrell and Nic were one of the more fiery couples of the season, with many highs and lows. They seemed to get along very well, but Nic was never able to win over Cyrell’s overprotective big brother, Ivan. It wasn’t until the pair met again when Ivan told Nic to leave their family home, with no other reasoning except he wanted to. Nicknamed, Cyclone Cyrell says enough! The couple made it through a lot of the season until they decided to split after one too many tiffs. After the show, Cyrell went on to date Love Island Australia finalist, Eden Dally. Just 5 months after making their relationship public, the pair announced they were expecting their first child together. Cyrell and Eden remain together and gave birth to their son, Boston in February 2020. As for Nic, he was very open on the show about his previous battle with testicular cancer, aged 24. The star announced his cancer had sadly resurfaced in January 2019, forcing him to undergo chemotherapy. Nic briefly dated Bridgette Lee in November 2019 but have since split. Nowadays, Nic uses his platform to invest time into charity campaigning.
Ines Basic and Bronson Norrish

When Ines walked down the aisle, the first thing she asked of her husband, Bronson, was to take his eyebrow piercing out. It set the tone for the marriage truthfully. The pair were not compatible in any sense and found themselves in many heated rows from the honeymoon onwards. Ines went on to have an affair with co-star Sam Ball, and eventually, they left the show. Since the show, it seems Ines has remained single whereas the same can’t be said for Bronson. After the show, Bronson met doctor, Hayley Wallis and has been happily loved up ever since!
Sam Ball and Elizabeth Sobinoff

Although this picture may be deceiving, from the moment Sam and Elizabeth laid eyes on each other, they bickered. Sam had to urgently leave due to his ex-girlfriend’s mother’s funeral leaving Elizabeth alone on their honeymoon. When Sam later returned to the show, viewers saw him have an affair with Ines but he has since claimed ‘the whole situation with Ines was set up’ by producers, but the show denied this. Sam and Ines both left their couples to pursue a relationship, but the reunion showed Sam and Ines had no contact at all after leaving the show. Sam appears to be single and tries to keep his private life away from social media. Shockingly, Elizabeth returned to MAFS Season 7 to try again! She was matched with Seb Guilhaus and the pair made it to the end of the show, deciding to stay together in their final vows ceremony. The pair went on to move in with each other but announced their split in January 2021.
Melissa Lucarelli and Dino Hira

The experts who matched Melissa and Dino clearly had the ‘opposites attract’ mentality, as you couldn’t get two more different people if you tried! Mel was seen frantically rushing to her wedding prep, and had to check halfway there that she’d even got her dress, whereas Dino is big on tranquillity and meditation. The pair left the show after Dino recording a phone call Melissa was having with her sister, with Dino claiming she was saying some hurtful things. Since the show, Mel has taken to being an influencer whereas Dino has started up his own company called ‘The Modern Yogi’ where he offers personal yoga sessions to clients. They have both remained single since the show was aired.
Jessika Power and Mick Gould

Jessika and Mick seemed to start well despite being worlds apart. Jessika was a city girl, and Mick was a country guy. However, throughout the series, we gradually saw their relationship go south and it became extremely turbulent. After Mick spoke badly of Jessika’s family, it came out that she was having an affair with co-star, Dan Webb (see below). Jessika kept this information from Mick until a commitment ceremony which left him in tears. Mick met his match after the show in The Bachelor’s, Kayla Gray, 26, and the pair have been living together in Queensland. It is said that Mick and Jessika are now on friendly terms, but more on Jessika shortly!
Dan Webb and Tamara Joy

Dan Webb and Tamara Joy were latecomers to the experiment. They seemed to hit it off quickly and it looked like another successful marriage was on the cards. This was until Dan and Jessika Power’s affair. Tamara found out like Mick in front of everyone at the commitment ceremony which left the cast in shock. Tamara Joy has since dated Love Island Australia star, Ashley Ienco back in 2019 but has since remained single.
Jessika Power and Dan Webb

Jessika Power and Dan Webb told their truths about their affair during the most dramatic commitment ceremony of the series. Instead of leaving the show, they asked to stay on due to the distance their relationship might face in the outside world. The show allowed Jessika Power and Dan Webb to stay till the end due to the ‘experiment’ nature of the show. The final episode showed an old clip to the cast of Jessika trying to pursue Nic Jovanovic also whilst he stayed loyal to Cyrell. Dan Webb was left speechless. The pair continued to date briefly after the show but eventually split on another show called Talking Marriage. Former rugby star, Dan Webb is rumoured to be dating model, Amira Marotous, 24 whereas Jessika went on to date James Brown, Nick Furphy and professional boxer, Kyron Dryden. It appears now that she is single.
Lauren Huntriss and Matthew Bennett

Lauren and Matthew seemed like a good match at the start. However, after consummating their marriage, things started to go downhill after Matthew declared he didn’t fancy Lauren at a dinner party. He has since claimed her behaviour would quickly change and she would often ask him if he was gay, despite him making his sexuality clear. It appears that makeup artist, Lauren is currently single but she is said to keep her personal life away from her public persona. Matthew recently appeared on the TV show, Lorraine, with his new girlfriend, Bella Jameson. They met whilst Matthew was doing wrestling training and have since been together for a few years!
Susie Bradley and Billy Vincent

Susie and Billy’s relationship was extremely short-lived as they had very little in common. Susie didn’t go down well with many viewers after making Billy cry after many petty arguments and claims of lying. After Susie and Billy decided both to leave the experiment, Billy went on to date Instagram model, Lily Buhl later in 2019. They later split and he now appears to be single. Susie went on to find love and get engaged after the show with former professional rugby player, Todd Carney. She has since deleted her social media accounts but her partner revealed in December 2020 that they were expecting their first child together.
