Leana’s Christmas Cocktails

Leana Goulden

4 days to go until the big day!! If you and your family enjoy a boozy Christmas, this is the list for you! This list consists of my favourite festive cocktails. There’s a bit of everything on here so that you can pass them around the family according to preferences!

1. White Christmas – Ingredients: 30ml Coffee Liquer, 30ml Irish Cream, 60ml Double Cream, 60ml milk – Garnish: Chocolate shavings

Method: Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and get them arms moving! For the chocolate shavings I just used a grater!

2. Run, Rudolph – Ingredients: 25ml Whisky, 50ml Amaretto, 50ml Cream, 50ml Milk – Garnish: Candycane

Method: Shake, shake, shake. Use the same method as ‘White Christmas’. Make sure to use your favourite whisky as the that is one of the predominant flavours.

3.Rockin’ Around – Ingredients: Caramel sauce (for drizzling around the glass, 25ml Caramel Irish Cream, 25ml Amaretto, 75ml Half and half (Milk and Cream)

Method: Drizzle your caramel sauce around the edge of your glass.. or just slide it around with a spoon. Then shake up all of your other ingredients and serve!

4.Santa Baby – Ingredients: 25ml Amaretto, Prosecco to the top, Kirsch Cherry to top (or sink)

Method: Possibly the easiest! Add 25ml Amaretto to your flute, followed by Prosecco (fill to the top). Pop in your Kirsch cherry and away you go! If you like a Cherry Bakewell, this is the one for you!!

There was one clear winner in my mind between these wonderful drinks… White Christmas!! Everyone has different preferences but this little tipple certainly went down the best in my house. It was genuinely just like drinking a caramac… utter perfection.
