I have never really paid much thought to having a bucket list, I live life more as it comes rather then what I would like to do. However, there are places around the world I really want to visit and things I would really like to try with my friends.
My Bucket List
- Visit New York
This place has been my number one holiday destination ever since I first discovered it existed; Home Alone 2. There is just so much appeal: the bustling streets, the food, the concrete maze, the dazzling lights, and do not get me started on the street fashion. My best friend, Sam, has been before and promised to take me there one day. So, if you are reading this Sam, you better keep your pinky promise!
2. Participate in a cocktail making class
A basic as it sounds, I have seen people do one of these on TV. I know they are more for people going on a date, but to do it with my friends, having a laugh while we realise that cocktail making really isn’t for us just sounds like the best day ever.
3. Visit Athens
Athens is another place I would love to visit. I am a massive nerd when it comes to Greek mythology and art, so my inner classics geek needs to see where some of my favourite stories and art originated from. I also remember eating in a traditional Greek restaurant once and the food was incredible.
4. Watch an NFL game in person
I watched the 2020 NFL final at my friends house, it did not finish until some time around 4am so I couldn’t stay for the whole thing (I had work at 6am). So we made a pact that when we go to America together we would go and watch an NFL game. As much as I love the atmosphere at British football game, to be involved in all the American enthusiasm and to be a part of the crowd filling those huge stadiums would be amazing. Also, to watch the half-time performance in person, like wow!
5. Get over my fear of Rollercoasters
Unusual to have something like this on your bucket list, I know, but it’s is something I know I can conquer given I really push myself to do it. Every time I see an advert on tv for an amusement park, I think to myself, “I can do that,” and then chicken out when I actually get there. For me, it comes down to being there with the right people. I know that if I went there with my best friends that I would probably do it.
