Five skincare brands that deserve your money

Leana Goulden

*Disclaimer* Brands and products mentioned are not guaranteed to work for each and every skin type, this article has been written based on personal opinion and customer reviews.

1. Dermalogica

I honestly don’t think I could say a bad word about the quality of this brand’s products. Online face-mapping consultations are available online to recommend products based on your skin concerns and problem areas. Another brilliant aspect of their site is their bundle deals dependent on your skin queries, e.g. sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, dull skin. The cost of the products is on the more expensive site however so it is worth noting which products would be the best for you and testing your skin with the mini-versions of products first.

STAR PRODUCT – Daily Microfoliant – £55

2. The Body Shop

If you are looking for a top-quality high street brand, this is where I would recommend looking! They have such a vast range of skincare products in a multitude of scents. Much like most skincare brands, they cater for different skin issues and I would say that if you suffer from acne-prone skin – the tea tree range from this brand is brilliant.

STAR PRODUCT – Drops of Youth Liquid Peel – £16

3. Sand and Sky

The face mask of dreams. In my opinion, there is no face mask that could come into competition. The Australian brand worked incredibly hard when developing products, most specifically the pink clay mask. The rejuvenation feeling after use is mind-blowing, In my experience – my pores looked tighter and reduced in size.

STAR PRODUCT – Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask – £36.75

4. CeraVe

A drugstore favourite. This brand has been rapidly gaining in popularity thanks to the gift of TikTok and honestly, I am not complaining. Their silky smooth formulas are a gift to our faces and we should treat our skin with this level of respect all the time to be honest!

STAR PRODUCT – CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid – £9.60

5. La Roche-Posay

This is a huge brand that is backed by dermatologists world-wide, catering to the minor needs of each and every individual customer – their products should definitely be added to your wish lists! They consider themselves sensitive skin specialists and the support that they have of dermatologists would completely agree. Perhaps if you’re skin is on the more tender side or you feel like you really need to have a deep look into your skin concerns, try La Roche-Posay!

STAR PRODUCT – La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Dermallergo Soothing Serum 20ml – £28.00
