Dorito Chicken Recipe

Hope Horsman

So it is tea time and you cannot decide whether to make something fancy or have a casual meal, why not make some crisp covered chicken? It is the perfect mixture between a posh meal and using up food that you might have lying around and need to use up.

When I asked my brother to put ketchup on my plate while I do the drinks, this was not what I was expecting

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of nachos or Doritos
  • 1 chicken fillet (or 1 per person you are feeding)
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 200g of plain flour (may need more for top ups)
  • A side of your choice

Method:

1.Turn the oven on to 180 degrees.

2.Measure out the flour and pour into a wide bowl.

3.Whisk the eggs and place into a separate bowl.

4.Keep the nacho bag unopened and crush them into pieces using a rolling pin. Then pour all the pieces onto a plate.

5.Put a chicken fillet on a chopping board and cut it in half. Then cover it in clingfilm and, using a rolling pin, hit it until it is thin and flat with around 0.5cm thickness.

6.Place a chicken fillet into the flour, making sure that it is moderately covered.

7.Then place the fillet onto the nacho plate and make sure that it is completely covered in nachos.

8.Place the fillet onto an oven tray and cook for 30 minutes.

9.Once cooked, serve onto a plate with the side.
