Creating A Productive Workspace

HAZEL

Productivity is the act of being productive. But the unusual times that we have been facing have lessened the chance of finding a productive workspace. While so much is changing around us, establishing a workspace/ study space and maintaining a particular routine can boost up our energy and productivity to complete the work that has been pending for a long time.

Creating a productive workspace not only keeps our minds free from unnecessary clutter but also energizes our bodies to complete our tasks with ease. Being a student, productive workspace, and productivity are most important. Being productive as a student motivates you to study more, complete given tasks, and still have energy left within you. One can easily distinguish that, a person with a messy, unarranged workspace is far less productive than a person with a clutter-free workspace.

Let’s see some of the ways to create a productive workspace:

1.Choose a particular space for working – Choosing a particular space for work or study, helps to focus on that thing for a long period of time. This way your mind will only associate with studying when you come to that space and it will easily slip into the mode of studying.

2.Prefer to read in natural light – Natural light helps us to be focused and also provides us with vitamin D. Personally, I use natural light until dusk. If natural light isn’t available, use a study lamp with proper light so that you don’t strain your eyes.

3.Necessities within hand reach – Keep all necessities such as textbooks, stationery, etc on your table so that you don’t have to get up from time to time to bring them. Getting up from your place numerous times gets you distracted and you don’t feel to study anymore.

4.Stay hydrated – Keep a water bottle at your table when you come for studying. Take water at intervals. Drinking water helps you to think clearly and helps you to focus.

5.Have no access to distraction – Remove things that distract you from your study space. If your phone distracts you, simply keep it in airplane / do not disturb mode. Keep it away until you complete your work.

6.A clean desk is a must – Keep your desk or the place you study clean. A clean desk will keep your mind free of clutter and help you to focus deeply. It will help you get supplies at need whenever you want without any mess.

7.To-do lists – Keep your to-do lists and journal near you so that you don’t get from your place often. Leaving your workspace from time to time decreases your motivation to work.

Following these steps will be surely helpful to have a productive workspace and also a productive student life.
